Really? A reality show to pick a soccer player?

Sorry, but I have to rant about this.
I'm sitting home watching TV, when this "Sounder Super Search" springs up.
Apparently it's a show where, just like in all those lousy reality shows they go around the state picking people, only this time, the picked one will be part of this Sounders Football Club.
I do not deny that this process will select someone who is really talented, but it relies on the assumption that you only need a good player to win. FALSE. Soccer is really a team game; this does not mean you don't want talented people in the team, it just means that even if all the players are exceedingly talented without playing as a team you won't get very far. I remember how some good teams had players that barely touched the ball, but their presence was felt all throughout a game (good times...).
As I see it, picking a player that had to step into all the other people that wanted a shot in this is not the player you want in your team.

Anyway, I think I just feel insulted that the US has turned a personally sacred sport into a commercial thing of this caliber.
I just hate those damned reality shows!
